One of the most important cities of the Maya World is nearby: the ruins of Tikal – declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; you can also visit the Uaxactun and Yaxha archeological sites.

Nights in Tikal are special; after 9 p.m. the electric generators are turned off and you can enjoy the incredible sounds of the jungle. When the night sky is clear, you can appreciate a clear view of the stars.
