La Cocotera's location offers adventurous tours, such as El Imposible National Park or the opportunity to help in a heart warming sea turtle release program that is sponsored by La Cocotera and allows hotel guests to aid in safely releasing thousands of newly hatched olive ridley turtles into the ocean every year.

Getting There

Nearest international airport: San Salvador (SAL)

Distance, by land, to the nearest airport: 100 miles (150 kilometers)

Airlines servicing the capital city of San Salvador include American, United, Continental and TACA, the official airline of El Salvador. TACA has daily, non-stop flights from Los Angeles to San Salvador. Flight time is approximately 4 ½ hours.

Guests can also fly to San Salvador non-stop from most Central American capitals, as well as connecting through the U.S. via Miami (2 ½ hours), Dallas (3 ½ hours), Washington, D.C. (4 ½ hours), or New York City (5 hours).

Helicopter and private plane transportation from and to San Salvador airport is also available at an additional cost.

Ground transportation from and to San Salvador airport is included in the price (1 ½ hour drive).
