We are strategically located on the most important avenue of San José (capital city), Costa Rica, close to sites of historic and cultural interest, commercial zones, and important business centers.

We have received four stars and include 100 recently renovated rooms, each with silent air-conditioning, 42-inch LCD flat screen TVs with cable, mini bars, hair dryers, direct phone lines with voicemail, electronic safes, premium quality mattresses, and a modern linen closet. We offer standard rooms and four different types of suites that feature Jacuzzis, living rooms, or both. All our rates include buffet-style breakfast at the News Café restaurant, distinguished for its high quality local and international dishes.

At Hotel Presidente, we have a high level of quality and commitment to corporate social responsibility. We follow a sustainable development management model, where our work philosophy focuses on responsible and sustainable tourism. We are actively involved in caring for the environment and the people who live with and depend on it.

Our projects focus on four areas: childhood, education, quality of life, and the environment.

Childhood and education - In the hotel's $1 for $1 "Supportive Tourism" Project, the hotel contributes $1 for every $1 donated by our guests. The funds are used in alliance with two entities dedicated to our children’s protection:
- We work with the Association for Children´s Smiles in the communities of Cristo Rey and Sagrada Familia. Both are communities at social risk in San Jose where volunteers participate in special activities, whether donating goods to children at the beginning of the school year, or providing equipment and resources, among other significant contributions.
- With Fundación PANIAMOR, our funds are used to finance measures related to the Code of Conduct and the fight against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
Quality of life - We work with the good manufacturing practices program – a food safety measure that assures our clients the food they consume at Hotel Presidente meets good manufacturing standards and is free of contamination. This program applies to our suppliers as well.
Environment - We have achieved three leaves from the Certification for Sustainable Tourism. We manage a community-unifying project called Q-adrade. In this project, businesses from different San Jose sectors that work to improve their environment manage activities as leaders of their city blocks. They motivate their neighbors to use sound environmental practices (the 3 Rs - reduce, reuse and recycle) and to encourage cleanliness, in addition to measures to increase public safety and urban beautification.
