Making a Difference

  • Protection of the local environment: we are committed to respect all living things and minimize impacts by having small group sizes.
  • Energy: We operate as electronically as possible so that our business can be paperless. We implement energy-saving practices such as turning off lights when not in use, using low-energy light bulbs and re-chargeable batteries, and opening windows instead of using air conditioning.
  • Travel: Our clients' carbon emissions are offset by Tropical Tree Climbing's 100% Carbon Neutral Program. All contributions go to our social and conservation projects. In addition, we plan trips to the city in advance so that we only use the car every two weeks.
  • Water: We use environmentally-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products. We give our clients natural toiletries made by local people.
  • Waste: We use glasses, cups, and stainless steel cutlery instead of disposable ones. In cases where we really need to use paper, we use recycled paper.
  • Resource use: Excellence in guiding and outfitting services to ensure the safety of the client is paramount.
  • Employment: We provide Tree Climbing Certification Courses for individuals aspiring to become professionals in the outdoor eco-adventure industry.
  • Economy: We support local experts and services to benefit the local economy. We collaborate with local producers and artisans and buy their services and products.
  • Culture: Our authentic educational experiences highlight local, natural, and cultural history.
