Description

Il Viaggio Travel is an inbound tour operator dedicated to designing tailor-made itineraries and packages for people interested in visiting and learning about Costa Rica in an environmentally sustainable way. Our daily goal is to help each client have a perfect visit to Costa Rica.

We offer different services including reservations for hotels, lodges, resorts, bed & breakfasts, or whatever kind of accommodation our client would like. We organize a wide variety of activities and tours that you can learn about on our Costa Rica Tour website (link below). We also have a luxury transportation service for land, air, and water travel.

Making a Difference

Our business has a lot of accumulated experience and is fully committed to the environment. Since we began, we have been concerned about the well-being of our surroundings; this is why we work with other operators that have the same interests and who are committed to sustainability and efficient resource management that is in harmony with the environment.

Il Viaggio Travel has a rating level of 3 leaves from the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST) program. Every day, our commitment to nature is reflected in:

• Planting trees with the Climate Change Allies Program (CCA), led by engineer Laura Lang. More information about this program in the "Additional websites" section below).
• We train direct and indirect partners on topics related to sustainability and efficient resource use.
• Our recycling center and participation in the recycling programs for the municipality of Escazú.
• We work with small groups of tourists to minimize environmental impact.
• We support local artisans through the purchase of handmade crafts to give our clients as gifts.
• We choose service providers that are certified by CST, who work with the Rainforest Alliance's tourism and/or agriculture programs, and businesses that have the Ecological Blue Flag, ISO14000, or other recognition.
• We reuse and recycle paper to help reduce deforestation.
• We are a member of the Amigos de los Parques program, managed by Fundación Proparques.
